We start with solid slabs of American Alder. After cutting and sanding the wood until the surface is entirely uniform, we apply a deep, rich dark stain. This isn't a painted box—the stain is carefully rubbed by hand into the grain, allowing the natural character of the wood to remain visible beneath the darkened surface. It provides a striking contrast in modern homes and looks incredibly sophisticated on a bookshelf.
A dog is never just a dog. They are family. We know you want to keep them close, which is why we ensure the bottom access panel is completely secure and lined with soft felt pads so it won't scratch your furniture.
Choosing the correct capacity is critical. The rule of thumb is one cubic inch of space for every pound of healthy body weight. We offer multiple sizes in the dropdown menu above. If your dog was 60 lbs, you need at least 60 cubic inches. We strongly recommend rounding up to the next size for absolute peace of mind.
